Zaeda Gul

Zaeda has worked within Housing Management, Community Regeneration and Housing Development for over 30 years, both in an operational capacity and strategic, providing project and contract management functions within affordable housing. Working for Councils and Housing Associations, she has helped deliver £multi-million JV, mixed tenure schemes and house building programmes, working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders including Councillors and residents. As a Compliance and Assurance Manager, she ensured Development policies and procedures were adhered to and in line with internal and external regulation requirements. Zaeda helped to achieve a target of £2bn to be raised from securitisation exercises, so the money could be used as collateral to build more homes.

She engineered the involvement of residents from stock transfer estates, setting up governance, technical steering groups and estate boards. She was part of the Partnership Board and a voice of residents on a huge £520m regeneration programme in Barnet, building over 2,500 new homes, ensuring residents were part of the decision making process. Following redundancy at the end of 2023, Zaeda started up her own Property Investment business where she has been instrumental in collaborating with Housing Associations, Developers, Councils and Investors in terms of co-ordinating investment opportunities to establish housing units that could be taken on long leases by housing providers.
